How to Cover Dark Circles on Mature Skin

Clara lived next door to me in Ecuador, but I never asked her what her first name was. Without a question, she was one of the nicest and most loving people I’ve ever met. She made me think of an angel, and I told her in broken Spanish. Because of this, Google Translate and I became good friends (my Spanish still needs work).
Clara didn’t want to sit in my makeup chair, so Vero, her artist daughter, came in and talked her into coming into my workshop. As Clara sat in the chair, I kept worried that she would get up and say she forgot to make a Fritada de Chancho, which was cooking on the stove. To make Clara feel better about her clear doubt, I showed her the step-by-step process of the makeover in a mirror, which is something I don’t usually do. She went from feeling awkward to looking like a beautiful diva, along with her comments throughout the process.
So, Clara has dark lines under her eyes that are red and brown and hide her big, heavy, and runny eyes. This is hard because, as many of you know, foundation and makeup can settle into fine lines and make you look… bad. Here, I’ll explain how I covered up her circles in a way that looks natural and brings out her best features.
How to cover dark circles on Mature Skin (Tips)
Stay hydrated
There must be a million different eye creams out there, but only two really work. I am cynical if I sound that way. There are about six active ingredients in skin care products that are good for you. If an eye cream doesn’t have even a tiny bit of one of these, you should probably throw it away. If you want to save money, I suggest you don’t buy eye cream. Instead, get (tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate THDA), an oil-soluble vitamin C, and use it around your eyes, on your face, and on your neck. It will do more to improve your skin’s protection, give this very sensitive area much-needed nutrients, and help fight free radicals.
Hyaluronic acid and fulvic acid help keep the skin plump and hydrated so that the makeup doesn’t crack or do anything else gross. I use a mix of these three ingredients in the movie. This is possibly the main reason why many of you don’t use foundation or concealer. But don’t worry! Clara’s makeup stayed on great with no problems.
Foundation with Medium Coverage
Full coverage makeup is another thing that should be thrown away. Use medium coverage, like I did to hide things like coloring, age spots, acne, and so on. Then, put on makeup on top to get a better handle on the amount. To find a good foundation, look for words like “hydrating,” “emollient,” and “moisturizing” in the name and description. Watch this movie to learn more about how to shop for foundation. Finally, you’ll want to buy a good item because the cheap ones look bad.
How to Buy Concealer
I really enjoy the technical side of makeup. When I really talk about the right color tones to cover up dark spots and rings, my close friends get that confused, half-blind look that I know all too well. So, here is a simple explanation of color theory that you should be able to understand.
Use the color opposite of the one above to hide dark circles under your eyes. For instance, find the color purple on the wheel. Then, look across from it to find the color yellow. So, to cover up purple or pink circles under your eyes, buy warm-toned (yellow) makeup. The darkening will be hidden by the opposite or similar shade. Because brown is a mix of all colors, use orange if you have a lot of brown around your eyes. There is too much pink in some concealers, so they make your skin look white. You should use a peachy tone instead. Cool-toned discoloration under the eyes can be hidden by peach or orange, as you can see on the wheel. (If you have any questions, please leave them below.)
Get back to Clara. Not to be annoying, but I used two different concealers on her spots 🙄. The first one was a pink color to hide the brown, and the second one was a yellow color to hide the purple/red. That sounds hard to understand, but the end result was that you couldn’t see any of her dark circles. Plus, I used a good product, so it doesn’t crease or look too heavy.
How to conceal under eye circles for mature skin
Our skin dries out and wrinkles form under our eyes as we age. So, it’s important to get makeup that won’t make wrinkles and fine lines worse. Additionally, it is important to choose one that is not too heavy because your eyes move a lot—the average person blinks 28,800 times a day. The best ones are cream or liquid ones because they’ll help moisturize dry skin and give you a little more freedom of movement. L’Oréal Paris Infallible Full Wear Concealer is one of the best concealers for under the eyes.
It has a smooth texture that covers everything and gets rid of any dark spots or flaws. It feels good on the skin and makes it more elastic, which makes the skin smooth.
Instead of using a brush, tool, or sponge to put makeup under your eyes, try using your fingers. It can help the makeup melt into the skin under your eyes, giving you a perfect look.
Why makeovers
You and your mom are both beautiful. I loved making Clara look good. This was my favorite remake ever, and I’ve done a lot of them. That being said, the word “makeover” can make us feel like we’re not beautiful the way we are. As women, I believe we are already beautiful and don’t need to add anything else. What I love most about makeovers is how makeup, hair, and style can change us and help us be creative and find new sides of our sexuality.
The point isn’t to spend an hour every day making sure your makeup looks great; that’s boring, and I don’t live my life that way. Being able to look however we want, whenever we want is interesting. I think you should feel just as good about yourself with no makeup on as you do with a full face of it. Do it because it’s fun and makes you feel great, not because it makes you look better. That’s just something else to throw away.
