However, Dose has really surprised me. I loved their makeup and their concealer; they both go well together and don’t grab. A lot of good things for your face are in it too. It says it has a matte finish, but I think it has a more natural look if you moisturize your skin first.

I think that e.l.f. items are often just as good as high-end ones. There is a 16-hour option, but I found that the Hydrating Camo Concealer works best for my older face. It doesn’t cake or grab, and you can build up the area. It costs $7 too. It’s too good.

How to Conceal Under Eye Bags and Dark Circles

Here is a quick method I use to hide dark circles and bags under my eyes when I’m more mature.

• Use a product with hyaluronic acid to moisturize the skin under your eyes. It keeps water in the skin and fades the look of bags. It also lets you put on concealer without it caked up, which makes bags look even worse! I am fond of Il Makiage Power Lift Plumping Cream. My mother, who is 80 years old, asked me, “What did you do to the wrinkles?” after I used this on her face. (For the better!) This is the first thing you need to do to protect your skin.
• This will give the wetness time to set and soak into the skin.
• Now cover your whole under-eye area with a small amount of makeup. Make sure you only use a little. Adding more is always an option, but if you use too much at first, it will crease.
• Here’s the catch… Do not press the makeup into your skin. Press it in. You can help the concealer stick to your face by tapping it up and down with your finger. It also makes the finish look more realistic. Do it!
• After a minute or two, use a beauty brush to gently wipe the area a few times. This helps get rid of any makeup that is only on the skin’s surface. (Getting ready to fold on you later!) Wait two to three minutes.
• Finally, choose if you want to cover up your dark lines with one more layer of makeup. Put a small amount of concealer on your finger and pat only your dark circles until the concealer blends in. You don’t need to do the whole under-eye area again. Use the beauty brush to blot again.
